Aganorsa Leaf has announced the Aniversario 25 Edición Limitada, a limited-edition cigar that will be released in 2025 to commemorate 25 years of Aganorsa Leaf.
“My vision was to bring the essence of traditional Cuban tobacco to Nicaragua by employing Cuban agricultural and fermentation methods, ultimately creating Aganorsa’s signature flavor profile. You have to control your destiny, and the tobacco must be managed from seed to ash to ensure consistency and quality. This cigar celebrating our 25 year journey underscores a commitment to tradition and craftsmanship, showcasing Aganorsa’s dedication to authenticity in the tobacco industry,” commented founder Eduardo Fernandez in a press release.
Technically, Aganorsa Leaf’s 25th anniversary was in 2023. However, Aganorsa Leaf felt the need to take some extra time to perfect the blend marking this significant milestone. Some may also remember Aganorsa Leaf’s Casa Fernandez Aniversario Series Boheme No. 35, released as a 35th-anniversary cigar in 2013. That commemorated the 35th anniversary of Tabacalera Tropical, the company owned by Pedro Martin that Fernandez bought. The Aniversario 25 Edición Limitada pays homage specifically to Aganorsa Leaf, which has become a full-scale tobacco operation.
“The past quarter century has seen Aganorsa grow from a visionary idea into a powerhouse in the Cigar Industry,” added Vice President of Sales and Marketing Terence Reilly. “This cigar is a testament to Eduardo Fernandez’s unwavering dedication and the hard work of countless individuals who have contributed to the company’s success. Although we are now on our 26th year, we wanted to take the time to ensure everything about this special cigar was perfect. Now that it is finally ready for release we plan to launch it in early 2025.”
The blend is a Nicaraguan puro featuring all of the tobaccos grown on the Aganorsa farms in Nicaragua. The cigar comes in one size – a 6 1/4 x 52 vitola. It comes in ten-count boxes with distribution limited to Aganorsa Leaf Select Platinum Partners. Production is limited to 1,000 boxes, with Aganorsa Select partners limited to five boxes. Each box includes a certificate of authenticity.
