My Father Honduras

My Father Cigars has officially announced it has opened a factory in Honduras. In addition, it announced that at the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, it will debut its first line out of that factory, the My Father Blue.

Word that the Garcia family was expanding into Honduras has been known for the past couple of years, but today, a story in Cigar Aficionado provided the first public details of the factory. It was reported that the new facility is 78,000 square feet with about 150 to 200 rollers. The factory was built after the Garcias purchased 890 acres of farmland in the Talanga region of Honduras to start growing tobacco in the region. That farm is known as La Opulencia.

Corojo and Criollo tobaccos grown on that farm will be used in the new My Father Blue blend. The blend is covered by a Connecticut Broadleaf Rosado wrapper. My Father Blue comes in four sizes – each in 20-count boxes: Petite Robusto (4 1/2 x 50), Robusto (5 1/4 x 52), Toro (6 x 54), and Toro Gordo (6 x 60) Pricing has not been announced, but the cigars are slated to ship later this spring.

Pete Johnson of Tatuaje Cigars also confirmed he will be working with the My Father Cigars Honduras facility to produce blends for his brand.

The Honduran factory is located in El Paraiso. My Father Cigars also owns and operates factories in Nicaragua and Honduras. The My Father Cigars Nicaraguan factory has won the Cigar Coop Factory of the Year award three times.
