At the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, JC Newman Cigar Company will reintroduce a brand called Sarzedas. According to U.S. patent records, this brand was once sold by JC Newman and could be traced back to 1900. Sarzedas was once known as the Aromatic cigar.

Sarzedas features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over binder and filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.  Rich Dolan, the Vice President of Operations for JC Newman, blended the line. The cigars come in four sizes: Toro (6 x 50), Robusto (4 3/4 x 52), Churchill (7 x 48), and Corona (5 1/2 x 43). Production comes from J.C. Newman’s PENSA cigar factory in Esteli, Nicaragua.

“I have loved the Sarzedas name and the brand’s history as ‘The Aromatic Cigar’ for years,” said Drew Newman in a press release. “I have been wanting to bring this historic brand back, but had to wait until we could create a blend that lives up to the brand’s legacy. Sarzedas is the most flavorful cigar we have ever made.”

Fittingly, the Sarzedas is packaged in an elegantly designed vintage-style box.

The 2025 PCA Trade Show opens April 12, 2025, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
