Each year, when it comes to the Premium Cigars Association (PCA) Trade Show, there are a couple of constants around the theme for Esteban Carreras, and 2025 was no exception. First, the company will have a new release; in most cases, it’s a regular or ongoing production line. Second, the company will hold back its release details until the Trade Show. This year, the release of Las Cañas was a bit of a surprise because instead of bringing forward a traditional release, the company opted for a sweetened cigar. Las Caña’s case differs from many sweetened or flavored cigars on the market.
Esteban Carreras already has a flavored cigar line known as Hawaiian Breeze. Hawaiian Breeze is a line incorporating various flavors like vanilla, latte, and cognac. Esteban Carreras says Las Cañas is a sweetened cigar, not a sweet-tipped one. From top to bottom, the cigar uses tobacco on which sugar water has been sprayed. Las Cañas uses a Habano Maduro wrapper over an undisclosed blend. It features three sizes, each in 24-count boxes.
