Grupo Turrent, the Mexican tobacco powerhouse, has announced that Alejandro Turrent “has concluded his tenure” and is exiting the company. Grupo Turrent is based in Veracruz, Mexico, and comprises the company’s factory operation, Nueva Matacapan Tabacos S.A. de C.V., its tobacco farms, and the Casa Turrent cigar brand. The move took effect on June 4, 2025.
Alejandro’s most recent title was Head of International Sales. He worked in conjunction with his father, Alberto Turrent; however, Alejandro served as the face of the family business.
In a statement by Grupo Turrent:

Ricardo Carioni and Gerardo Perez are assuming temporary responsibilities for the U.S. and International operations. No further information was given on Turrent’s departure from his role.
