Tatuaje Fausto FT110

Today, we are reviewing the Tatuaje Fausto in the FT110 size. The Fausto line was first introduced in 2011 and is described as a derivative of Tatuaje’s famous T110 blend. Just before the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, Tatuaje announced the addition of two line extensions with a 60-ring gauge: FT187 and FT110. The Fausto blend is distinct from the original T110. All Fausto sizes are named FT, followed by a number that represents the length of the vitola in millimeters. The T110 line cigars also use 110 to represent the length of those vitolas. For those keeping score at home, 110 millimeters is 4 3/8 inches in length (but the T110 series does not use 60-ring gauges)

Tatuaje Fausto FT110 – Agile Cigar Review

SPECIFICATIONS

The blend for Fausto features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over all Nicaraguan tobaccos. Like T110, Fausto is intended to be a bold blend. The blend contains what is described as an “overly generous amount of ligero from Estelí and Jalapa.”

  • Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro
  • Binder: Nicaraguan
  • Filler: Nicaraguan
  • Country of Origin: Nicaragua
  • Factory: My Father Cigars S.A.
  • FT110: 4 3/8 x 60

PERFORMANCE

The FT110 opened with notes of coffee, wood, mixed pepper, and damp earth. Some blackberry notes emerged during the early stages. The coffee and damp earth moved into the forefront early on. Both of these notes alternated in intensity. The wood, pepper, and blackberry settled in the background. There was an additional layer of pepper on the retro-hale, but it was more of a black pepper varietal. The second third saw the pepper increase and the blackberry decrease. By the final third, the damp earth became the sole primary note. The coffee settled in the background with the wood, pepper, and blackberry notes, with pepper the most prominent of these secondary notes. The FT110 closed with a soft, cool nub.

The strength and body started out medium, but by the second third progressed to medium to full where it didn’t increase too much after that point. Both the strength and body balanced each other nicely.

The burn necessitated frequent touch-ups to uphold a consistent burn path and a straight burn line. Although these touchups effectively addressed the issue, I found that a greater number were required than I would typically prefer. Meanwhile, the draw had a touch of resistance, putting it in the sweet spot for me.

OVERALL ASSESSMENT

Final Thoughts

Over the years, Tatuaje Fausto has emerged as one of the staple brands in the Tatuaje portfolio. That being said, it was exciting to see two new sizes, and I was also quite intrigued that they were both 60-ring gauges. To sum this up quickly, the FT110  is a good cigar, but there are better sizes and expressions of the Tatuaje Fausto. In the end, while I can see the 60-ring gauge fan reaching for this, I’m more inclined to recommend some of the other sizes. Ultimately, I’d recommend trying a sample of the FT110 size first before purchasing.
