Rocky Patel Edge Habano |
Rocky Patel Premium Cigars has formally announced its Nicaraguan extension to its “Edge” line. The cigar will official be called “Edge Habano”. The cigar is one of six Rocky Patel Premium Cigars lines expected to be launched at the 2012 IPCPR Trade Show.
Back in May, we discussed a Cigar Insider report on what was being referred to as the “Nicaraguan Edge”. The Edge Habano becomes the sixth blend of the Edge series joining the Candela, Corojo, Maduro, Sumatra, and Lite (Connecticut Shade).
The Edge Habano is expected to ship to retailers on September 15th.
Blend Profile
Rocky Patel Cigars describes the Edge Habano as a “Nicaraguan puro, a first for any prior Edge blend”. In the original Cigar Insider report, they mentioned a double binder, but nothing specific to that was mentioned.
Wrapper: Nicaraguan Habano Seed
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
The binder and filler are described as tobaccos from “Esteli, Condega, and Jalapa”
Vitolas Available
In the spec sheet, Rocky Patel Premium Cigars mentions two vitolas. This differs from the original Cigar Insider report that mentioned three vitolas (the Robusto is not listed). The cigars will be sold in boxes of 100.
