At the 2012 IPCPR Trade Show, Honduras Caribbean Cigars unveiled their newest offering – the Carmelo Primeros.
Honduras Caribbean has been a company that has been at the IPCPR trade show for the past few years. They are based in Miami, Florida, but have production and farms in Honduras. The company offers two major lines – the Honduras Caribbean and Carmelo lines. The Carmelo Primeros is a new blend that joins the Carmelo line.
According to the marketing brochure: “Carmelo Primeros resurrected from a Cuban vista produced during the Gilded Age of the 19th century. Carmelo was recreated to maintain the decadence of this indulgent time while updating the brand to incorporate our past, present, and future.“

Blend Profile
The Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper of the Carmelo Primeros is apparently an exclusive variety to Honduras Caribbean and is limited in quantity. The binder and filler tobaccos come from Esteli and Jalapa, Nicaragua and Trojes, Honduras.
