Each year, we select cigars and people to be inducted into the Cigar Coop Hall of Fame. For cigars, there are three ways to gain induction: 1) The number one Cigar of the Year for the prior calendar year gains automatic induction; 2) All Cigars assessed “Memorable” at least one year prior to induction are looked at and given consideration; 3) One Wildcard selection. For personnel, we select on industry leader/ambassador and one non-industry ambassador. Selections are made Columbus Day Weekend each year.
Cigar Coop Hall of Fame
Inductee Name: Davidoff Millennium
Inductee Category: Reassessment of Memorable Cigar
Inductee Year: 2012
The Davidoff Millennium is a cigar that smokes as good as it looks – and it looks as good as any cigar out there. It’s Ecuadorian Sun-Grown wrapper gives this cigar a rich look. In addition the construction is absolutely flawless on this creation by the legendary Henke Kelner.
The Davidoff Millennium not only has great flavors, but it is a complex smoke. It produces wonderful notes of nut, toast, cherry sweetness, coffee, black pepper, wood, and even hints of char flavor. These flavors that are rich and full-bodied. There also is some kick to this cigar as it provides a strength in the medium to full range.
We assessed the Davidoff Millennium to be a Memorable Smoke back in February 2011. We are proud to elevate this to a Historic/Hall of Fame Smoke in 2012. This smoke is a true classic.
