Viaje Cigars’ presient Andre Farkas posted some photos on facebook confirming what he told us a the 2012 IPCPR, that there would be a “White Meat” and “Dark Meat” version of the WLP Stuffed Turkey 2012 project. This confirmed what he told us at the 2012 IPCPR Trade Show.

Last year, Viaje released the first WLP Stuffed Turkey (2011) which was a Nicaraguan puro utilizing a Nicaraguan Criollo for the wrapper.   The White Meat and Dark Meat options provide both a natural and a maduro option respectively.   From looking at the photo of the packaging of the WLP Stuffed Turkey 2012 White Meat option, it appears the wrapper is listed as a Corojo wrapper, thus a change from the WLP Stuffed Turkey 2011. The Dark Meat option is listed only as Maduro, so there is no official confirmation on the origin of the wrapper.

The packaging also indicates 150 bundles have been produced.   Both the WLP Stuffed Turkey White Meat and WLP Stuffed Turkey Dark Meat options are 5 x 60 vitolas – the same as the Viaje WLP Stuffed Turkey 2011.

A couple of weeks ago, Viaje Cigars announced the Viaje WLP Stuffed Turkey 2012 cigars would have its release postponed until the Christmas 2012 timeframe due to shipping delays.
