| Viaje Super Shot 10 Gauge (2012 Version) |
Viaje Cigars has put information on facebook in regards to their 2013 Super Shot release. The big news is that there will be two wrapper choices on the 2013 version – a criollo and now a corojo.
The quote on facebook posted was:
“A Corojo version of SuperShot will accompany SuperShot Criollo this year. This comes after many requests for a slightly tamed version of the original release. You ask, we listen. Hunters wanted!”
The original Viaje Super Shot (Criollo wrapper) was released in 2012 in both a 10 gauge (3 1/2 x 54) and 12 gauge (3 1/4 x 52) option. There were no information on the specific ring gauges for 2013 Super Shot (although the photo indicated boxes labeled 12 gauge). Like the 2012 version, the 2013 Super Shot will be a Nicaraguan puro. No specific timetable for release was disclosed, but a quote from Viaje Cigars in the photo comments indicated “couple of weeks”.
It was during our conversation with Viaje President Andre Farkas at the 2012 IPCPR that he mentioned the Super Shot would be returning in 2013.
