Kristoff Galerones DR4 |
The Kristoff Galerones DR4 is one of four cigars blends being launched under a new line in the Kristoff Cigars portfolio called Galerones. It was in a conversation last month we had with Kristoff President Glen Case where he first told us of the DR4 cigar. The cigar was showcased at the 2013 IPCPR Trade Show in Las Vegas.
The Galerones line marks a major change in a lot of ways for Kristoff. The Galerones will feature a very different look from the existing Kristoff line in terms of its packaging (gloss painted boxes as opposed to “rough cut boxes)’. The Galerones will be made in the PDR Cigars factory – the first time Kristoff has worked with this factory.
Another big difference from the traditional Kristoff lines is that the Galerones makes use of some tobaccos that Kristoff has not used in the past. With the DR4, it gets its name from having four distinct Dominican Habano tobaccos in the filler. Case described the DR4 as the mildest of the four new blends. The flavor profile is described as having sweet cedar, almond, honey, and cream notes.
At a glance, let’s take a look at the Kristoff DR4:
