Packaging for the E.P. Carrillo Edicion Limitada 2013 |
At the 2013 IPCPR Trade Show, E.P. Carrillo showcased the packaging around the E.P. Carrillo Edicion Limitada 2013. The E.P. Carrillo Edicion Limitada has been a different blend each year done in one size for a one time release.
We spoke to Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr and he did confirm that the blend is still being finalized. He did confirm to us that the Edicion Limitada 2013 will use a Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper – which is the first time the company has been using that wrapper. He mentioned a “good mix of stuff” with some Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos as a part of the blend. The size of the cigar will be a toro and is expected to be a 6 1/4 x 54.
There will be 1500 boxes of produced of the E.P. Carrillo Edicion Limitada 2013. Each box will be individually numbered. The box features a lacquered zebra-wood design. It is also meant to be re-used as a humidor.

Well I guess that's it. Looks like I'm on the sideline for this one. Huge Ernie fan and even bigger fan of his EL's. But going from 10 count to 20 count. I don't get that. Why change the flow of what's been previously successful. It's not the price. It's the price!' I love EL's in 10 count boxes. It's perfect for all of those $10.00+ Per cigar EL's. You were able to buy two boxes easily; 3 boxes if its a great cigar. Smoke a box, age a box. Unless halfwheel or Seth or Coop or Stogie Guys rate it a minimum of a 94, I might have to pass. We'll see.
