Mombacho Cigars, a company based in Toronto Canada has announced they will be entering the U.S. cigar market. The first cigar they will introduce to this market will be a Nicaraguan puro line called Tierra Volcan. The cigar will be making its debut at the 2014 IPCPR Trade Show in Las Vegas next month.
“Enthusiasts around the world have been enjoying the high quality and unique taste of our cigars for years now,” said Markus Raty, Presidente of Mombacho Cigars. “We are thrilled to finally be able to provide the same distinctive smoking experience to U.S. cigar lovers through our Tierra Volcan line.”
The company will have a dedicated sales and marketing team as well as a distribution partner that will be announced shortly.
Mombacho Cigars S.A. was founded in 2006. The cigars have been distributed in Canada but have also been available in China in such markets like Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shanghai. The cigars are produced in a boutique factory located in Granada, Nicaragua known as Casa Mombacho. In Canada, the company has partnered in the luxury goods and sports industry with such brands as Moët Hennessy, Louis Vuitton, the NBA’s Toronto Raptors, MLB’s Toronto Blue Jays and the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs.
