RoMa Craft Tobac will now be offering its own branded coffee. At the 2014 IPCPR Trade Show, the company is planning on launching the RoMa Craft Tobac Intemperance Cigar Blend Coffee. Keeping in the spirit of how it makes cigars, RoMa Craft has said the Intemperance Cigar Blend Coffee will also have a limited production model.
The coffee beans used are be grown in Nicaragua at an altitude of 1,100m. The roasting and packaging of the beans are done by Colin Ganley’s Twin Engine Coffee Company. Due to the perishable nature of roast coffee, the available beans will be roasted, ground, and released on a once per month basis. RoMa Craft describes this as a “small batch artisinal release” with a total of 4,000 bags being produced.
According to Skip Martin, coffee is as important a part to the daily life and economy of Nicaragua as tobacco. Martin, soon met up with Ganley, a former editor at Cigar Journal who educated him on Nicaraguan coffee and the coffee business in general. Both felt this limited availability coffee paired very well with the RoMa Craft Tobac Intemperance blends, therefore they decided this collaboration would be a great vehicle to showcase each company’s brand and cross promote two key Nicaraguan export products.
The Intemperance Cigar Blend Coffee will be offered in three packaging options. The first will be a single 300g bag. The second will be a Coffee Box consisting of three 300g bags. The third will be a the Intemperance Cigar Blend Coffeehouse Sampler. This will consist of a single 300g bag, twelve Intemperance EC XVIII Brotherly Kindness cigars, and 12 Intemperance BA XXI Breach of the Peace cigars. According to RoMa Craft the Intemperance Cigar Blend Coffee Sampler will only be available for order at the 2014 IPCPR Trade Show
