At the 2014 IPCPR Trade Show in Las Vegas, Victor Vitale and Legacy Brands has officially launched the Tortuga 215 Reserva Maduro El Coyote Negro. This line introduced a dark Brazlian Mata Fina cigar to the Tortuga line. While a soft launch of the Belicoso was done last month to Cigar Federation, the three vitolas have now been announced.
The 5 1/2 x 54 belicoso has been branded the Cedro No. 500. There will also be a 6 1/2 x 56 Cedro No. 600 as well as a 7 x 60 known as the Cedro No. 700. All three vitolas will feature a cedar sleeve and be in a rounded format.
The Coyote Negro is similar to the blend of the core Tortuga 215 Reserva, but slightly tweaked to work with the Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper.
