Atladis USA has announced a follow-up cigar to its Montecristo Grupo de Maestros Private Batch release. The new cigar is called Montecristo Grupo de Maestros Private Batch II. The new Private Batch II will once again be a limited production cigar, but this time will feature a new blend, a new size, and modified packaging. Private Batch II should arrive at retailers this month.
The Grupo de Maestros team represents some of Altadis’ most skilled cigar makers and they have been involved on some high profile Altadis releases. According to Atladis USA the group has more than 250 years combined experience. Atladis USA describes the Grupo de Maestros as:
Alone, the cigar experience of each member is impressive. Combined, their experience is unparalleled. The group draws from their different individual backgrounds and preferences but is united by one goal: to create the world’s best premium cigars. While each member has the talent to blend their own cigars, this unique structure makes the whole greater than the sum of the parts.
The cigars in the Private Batch series represent blends that the Grupo de Maestros created for the members’ own private consumption. As with its predecessor, the Private Batch II is now being made available to the public.
The cigar features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. The Private Batch II will be available in one size – a 6 x 50 Toro. Similar to the original Private Batch release, the cigars are sold in 100 count cedar display boxes with the one difference being the Private Batch II trunk is covered with burlap. A total of 250 boxes will be made. Each cigar will be priced at $15.00.
