The Viaje Furiosa is slated to become the company’s newest release. For this release, it draws inspiration from a character in a recent Mad Max movie. Par for the course with many Viaje releases, it also has a slight shroud of mystery around it. The announcement of the Viaje Furiosa was made on the company’s social media channels.
Furiosa is named for the character Imperator Furiosa played by Charlize Theron in the movie “Mad Max: Fury Road”. Imperator Furiosa becomes an ally to the main character of Max Rockatansky.
As for the cigar itself, it’s a Nicaraguan puro consisting of Aganorsa Corojo and Criollo. The Viaje Furiosa was produced in Honduras at the Raices Cubanas factory. The big mystery with this cigar is the shape – which Viaje says will remain a mystery until the cigar arrives in stores.
The cigars will be shipped in wheels packaged in 51 count boxes. The cigars will feature the black and white bands usually reserved for the company’s White Label Project series. The company says these bands were used for the first batch, but plans are for subsequent releases to have its own packaging. The upcoming FDA deadline triggered the need to release the current batch of the product with the black and white bands.
