A.J. Fernandez Cigars has announced its second installment of its Portfolio Series, the Last Call Maduro. As the name indicates, the cigar introduces a maduro counterpart to the A.J. Fernandez Last Call – which was released earlier this year as the first installment. The new A.J. Fernandez Last Call Maduro is expected to be showcased at the 2016 IPCPR Trade Show.
The Last Call Maduro features a Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler. Like the original A.J. Fernandez Last Call, the Last Call Maduro is available in one size – a 4 1/2 x 48 vitola called “Geniales”. The cigars are packaged in 25 count boxes.
The Portfolio Series is being dubbed a line that will consist of personal and experimental blends that Master Blender A.J. Fernandez has worked on over past years. When the Last Call was released earlier this year, it was said that it was a personal blend that this was the last cigar he would give to guests who were at his house watching Football.
In a press release announcing Last Call Maduro, Ricky Somoza, Vice President of the A.J. Fernandez Cigar Company, stated: ” The Last Call Maduro highlights the unique flavors and sweet notes found in A.J. ‘s Nicaraguan Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper. Fans of the original Last Call Geniales, will enjoy this medium to full body cigar, one that is the perfect representation of a Nicaraguan Puro.”
