At the 2016 IPCPR Trade Show, Espinosa Cigars will launch a new regular production line called the Alpha Dawg. Earlier this year, we reported on the Alpha Dawg project. At the time the Espinosa was weighing options in terms of whether it would be an event only cigar or on-going offering. The company chose the latter.
The Alpha Dawg project first surfaced at the Espinosa LaZonaPalooza event held earlier this year. LaZonaPalooza was three day gathering of social media, online media, and retail community members. At the event, attendees had a chance to vote on both the final blend and the final packaging.
Given the cigar ended up going regular production, a few changes were made. While Alpha Dawg was originally planned to be a soft-bundle release, the company has opted to box the cigar in ten count boxes. In addition, the cigar is now being launched in three sizes: Corona Gorda, Robusto, and Toro. The blend features a Habano Rosado wrapper over Nicaraguan tobaccos.
