Black Label Trading Company (BLTC) has announced a new limited release called Santa Muerte. The cigar introduces a medium-bodied smoke to complement much of the brand’s fuller bodied maduro. Santa Muerte is currently shipping in now with a larger release planned on November 1st, 2016.
The blend features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and binder over a mix of Nicaraguan, Dominican, and San Andres tobaccos. Santa Muerte will he offered in two sizes: Corona Gorda (5 1/2 x 48, SRP $8.50) and Robusto (4 3/4 x 52, SRP $8.50). Both sizes are packaged in 20 count boxes. The cigar is made at the company’s Fabrica Oveja Negra facility in Esteli, Nicaragua.
“We have gone out of the box on the Santa Muerte. Most of our Limited Releases have been full bodied Maduros. This one is a medium bodied cigar with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. It features six filler tobaccos which create a very unique and rich flavor profile. You experience layer upon layer of coffee, malt, spice and cocoa. I have been working on this blend for a long time and am very excited to share it with the public. As the name suggests there is a Day of the Dead theme and the cigar will be released November 1st to celebrate,” said James Brown, creator of BLTC and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra.
