At the 2016 IPCPR Trade Show, General Cigar Company launched three new value-priced brands. One of these new brands is a two blend offering known as La Estrella Cubana – translating to “Cuban Star”.
The La Estrella Cubana Habano features a Nicaraguan Habano wrapper, Honduran binder, and all Nicaraguan filler. Meanwhile the La Estrella Cubana Connecticut uses a Honduran Connecticut Shade wrapper over aa Nicaraguan binder and filler. Both blends are offered in four common sizes.
The cigars are available in five sizes – with pricing ranging from $2.90 to $3.50 SRP per cigar.
In addition to La Estrella Cubana, there were two other value-priced brands unveiled – Odyssey and House Blend. The difference is that La Estrella Cubana is packaged in boxes while the other two value brands are bundle offerings.
