Gurkha Cigars has chosen not to release any new lines at this year’s 2017 IPCPR Trade Show. Instead, the company is reaching back into the past in re-introducing some of its more popular predicate lines into the market. One line that is returning will be the Gurkha Havana Legend.
It was in 1999 that the Havana Legend was first introduced under the Gurkha Legend series. The cigar features what the company terms a “rare vintage Habano” wrapper. It will be released in four sizes, each packaged in 20 count boxes: Robusto Corto (4 1/2 x 48, $5.00 SRP), Robusto (5 x 54, $5.50 SRP), Toro (6 x 50, $6.00 SRP), and XO (6 x 60, $9.00 SRP).
A predicate blend is one that was marketed on February 15, 2007 or earlier. These cigars are grandfathered from being regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Plans are for the Havana Legend to ship to retailers this Fall.
