Gurkha Cigars has announced that it has made a pair of cigars available to its branded lounges and select retailers. The two cigars are Double Corona vitolas and are available in a Habano and Maduro option. The two blends are based on cigars that were reserved for friends and family when they would visit the company’s headquarters in Florida.
“This cigar is special because this is the cigar that we have always smoked with retailers and friends when they come visit our headquarters,” said Gurkha CEO Kaizod Hansotia in a press release. “Many of our customers like a great Maduro and I am particular to the Habano so we decided to make both to satisfy several palettes.”
The blends feature a Pennsylvania Broadleaf binder and a combination of tobaccos from the Dominican Republic as well as the Estelí and Condega reasons of Nicaragua. The cigars are finished with either a Habano or San Andres Maduro wrapper. The cigars itself is available as a 7 x 52 Double Corona. Both blends are available in 12 count boxes and pricing is set at $10.00 per cigar or $120.00 per box.
Gurkha currently has seven branded lounges nationwide, but the company also said the cigars will be available to any retailers that carry more than 25 Gurkha facings and are not within a 25 radius of the official Gurkha lounges.
