Last year, at the 2018 IPCPR Trade Show HVC Cigars introduced a Connecticut Broadleaf cigar called the HVC First Selection Broadleaf. The company has since announced the cigar will now be an ongoing production in its portfolio. It is expected to be showcased at this year’s IPCPR Trade Show.

The cigar is unique because it is the first major Broadleaf wrapped cigar to come out of Aganorsa Leaf’s Tabacos de Valle Jalapa S.A. (TABSA) factory.

In addition to the Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, it features Nicaraguan binder and filler featuring signature Aganorsa Leaf tobaccos. The cigar comes in two sizes – a 4 1/2 x 50 Short Robusto and a 6 x 52 Toro. Like the initial release, both vitolas are shipped together in 20-count boxes containing 10 Short Robustos and 10 Toros.

The HVC First Selection Broadleaf Toro scored a 93. At press time, this is the highest score on Cigar Coop for 2019.
