JR Cigar has formally announced a new offering it is carrying from Drew Estate known as The NightShade.
The cigar takes its name from the plant family Solanaceae, commonly known as nightshades, which include the tobacco plant. NightShade features a Connecticut River Valley Habano wrapper over an Indonesian binder and a combination of Dominican and Nicaragua tobacco. The cigars are available in four sizes: Corona (5 3/4 x 46), Robusto (5 x 52), Toro Extra (6 1/2 x 54), and Torpedo (6 x 54). Each size is available in 20-count boxes. The Robusto and Toro Extra sizes are also available in 5-pack and 10-pack options.
In a press release announcing NightShade, Drew Estate President Jonathan Drew said, “This blend unites majestic tobaccos from Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic and Indonesia which we then painstakingly wrap under a Habano seed wrapper-leaf grown in the Connecticut River Valley. This results in dark earthy espresso meeting the blackest of peppers in some kind of aged-goodness dance. No joke,” Drew added, “the NightShade is dope!”
The cigar will also be distributed via Santa Clara Cigars.
