The number of new releases from Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust (DTT), at the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show was expected; however, the wide variety of new offerings was surprising. When considering the material released prior to PCA, it was noteworthy that almost every brand in the DTT portfolio saw new releases, with the exception of Muestra de Saka. Additionally, this year marked the tenth anniversary of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust. Owner and founder Steve Saka had much to discuss during this year’s installment of “40 Minutes with Steve Saka.”
10th Jubilee
The 10th Jubilee is the release commemorating DTT’s 10th anniversary. Saka told Cigar Coop that the natural inclination for an anniversary cigar is to blend something you are known for in a celebratory size (perfecto, etc), with fancy packaging. However, he decided to go against the grain with the 10th Jubilee. He opted for an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper – the first time he has used one on a national release. The remainder of the blend uses a Mexican Claro binder and four estate-grown Nicaraguan fillers. These tobaccos come from specific farms and haven’t been used before. Production comes from Nicaraguan American Cigars, S.A. (NACSA). The size isn’t a fancy celebratory size, but it’s a size Saka likes – a 5 5/8 x 48 Corona Larga. The cigars come packaged in 13-count boxes. Pricing comes in at $18.95 SRP per cigar, and it’s due to ship in October.
Red Meat Lovers Fritanga
DTT Master Ligador Steve Saka is well known for taking existing core lines and developing bolder offshoot blends. The Fritanga is described as a more daring, spicier version of the Red Meat Lovers blend. It still consists of a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, a San Andres binder, and a blend of USA and Nicaraguan fillers. The difference is that the Fritanga has more ligero in the blend. Fritanga comes in one size – a 6 x 52 box-pressed Prensado packaged in ten-count boxes. Production originates from the NACSA factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Also, Fritanga is a regular production offering. Pricing is $16.25, with targeted shipping in June 2025.

Deep Cuts Sampler
This sampler contains the blends and sizes that Saka personally smokes. These include:

The Sin Compromiso Word of Saka is a new addition to the sampler. Word of Saka is a new Broadleaf blend in a 7 x 48 format. This will also be a Sin Compromiso made at the NACSA factory. Saka has announced that only 5,000 cigars will be produced, which will also limit the Deep Cuts Sampler to that same number. While there’s a chance for a standalone release in the future, Saka mentioned that if it does happen, it wouldn’t be before the summer of 2026. The pricing for the Deep Cuts Sampler is set at $225.00 SRP, and it is scheduled to ship in August 2025.
Mi Querida Gorila Gordo
This is a new regular production line extension to the Mi Querida (Blue) line. The Gorila Gordo is a 6 x 60 vitola that features a 109 style cap. The cigars come in 20-count boxes. Pricing comes in at $14.95 SRP per cigar. Shipping is targeted for August 2025.
Umbagog Bronzeback Robusto
Last year, DTT introduced the Umbagog Bronzeback in a 5 x 48 format. This year, Bronzeback is available in a 5 x 52 Robusto size. The Umbagog Bronzeback is an extension of the Umbagog brand. The difference is that it is finished with a “2LS” Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. 2LS is a designation for the leaves typically situated between the 1/3 and 1/2 mark on the stalk. At the time of publication, the Bronzeback Robusto is scheduled to ship in June 2025. Pricing comes in at $10.75 per cigar. Like the original Bronzeback, the Robusto comes in ten-count bundles.
Todos Las Dias Double-Wide Archive Series Release
Todos Las Dias is a brand that Steve Saka has placed on indefinite hold. However, the ongoing interest in this brand has inspired Saka to create the Archive Series. This initiative enables him to reintroduce select cigars in limited releases. One of these is the Double Wide, a Belicoso that measures 4 3/4 x 60. It will be available in ten-count boxes, designated as the second release of the Archive Series. As of now, details regarding pricing and shipping are not yet available.
StillWell Star Holiday Y2025
The StillWell Star Holiday series is an annual release from StillWell Star, featuring a “holiday” blend of pipe tobacco in the filler. While Saka mentioned this was coming, the only information disclosed is that this will be the first StillWell Star to not come in a 6 x 52 Toro. The Y2025 release will come in a 5 x 48 format.
Sobremesa Solita Red
This line shipped before PCA 2025, but was prominently showcased at PCA 2025. This is a bolder, richer, and more robust limited-production version of the Sobremesa Solita. Solita Red features an Ecuadorian Habano Grade 1 Dark Rosado wrapper over a San Andres binder. The filler is a mix of Nicaraguan and Pennsylvanian tobacco. The cigar comes in one size—a 6 1/4 x 46 Cervantes Fino, the same size that was discontinued in the core Sobremesa Solita line.
Year of the Duque
This cigar was shipped around the time of the PCA and is part of a limited release that was not available for order. However, Saka decided to showcase the cigar at PCA 2025. The Year of the Duque pays tribute to Chris Duque, a longtime fan of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, who volunteers at the company’s PCA booth every year. The name of the cigar, created by master ligador Saka, is inspired by the Chinese Zodiac releases. Instead of releasing a traditional Chinese Zodiac calendar, Saka chose to create a “Year of” calendar to honor the brand’s supporters.
Blend details were not disclosed, but Saka has stated that this is a mashup of two of Chris’ favorite DTT blends: Sobremesa Solita and Todos Las Dias, in a 5 x 48 format. There are no plans to make more of these.
