At the 2022 Tobacco Plus Expo, Lampert Cigars announced a new blend under its Lampert 1675 line, the Lampert 1675 Edición Rojo.
The new line uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper and underneath a Nicaraguan binder and filler which were grown, fermented and then aged for four years by the Ortez family. Production is handled out of Fábrica Agrotabacos, the factory owned by Omar Ortex and family. The cigars are available in three sizes (Short Robusto, Robusto and Toro) -each presented in boxes of twenty.
The Edición Rojo joins the Edición Azul, a darker Ecuadorian wrapped offering that includes Peruvian tobacco in the filler.
