At the 2022 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, Tatuaje Cigars introduced the Surrogates Big Ten. The cigar commemorates ten years of the Surrogates brand.
Surrogates Big Ten features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over all Nicaraguan tobacco . It comes in Tatuaje’s signature Britanicas Extra perfecto which is a 5 3/8 x 48 perfecto. This is a size Pete Johnson tends to release from limited or special releases. Surrogates Big Ten is present in ten-count boxes.
Surrogates is a brand that actually is a little older than ten years. It was originally a shop exclusive to New Havana Cigars. In 2012, when Pete Johnson, K.C. Johnson, and Dan Welsh formed L’Atelier Imports, Surrogates was brought in as a brand under L’Atelier and released nationally. In 2018, Tatuaje and L’Atelier merged and Surrogates now is a brand under Tatuaje.
