At the 2022 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, Tatuaje Cigars introduced the Surrogates Big Ten. The cigar commemorates ten years of the Surrogates brand.
Surrogates Big Ten is a 100% Nicaraguan puro. It comes in Tatuaje’s signature Britanicas Extra perfecto which is a 5 3/8 x 48 perfecto. This is a size Pete Johnson tends to release from limited or special releases. Surrogates Big Ten is present in ten-count boxes.
Surrogates is a brand that actually is a little older than ten years. It was originally a shop exclusive to New Havana Cigars. In 2012, when Pete Johnson, K.C. Johnson, and Dan Welsh formed L’Atelier Imports, Surrogates was brought in as a brand under L’Atelier and released nationally. In 2018, Tatuaje and L’Atelier merged and Surrogates now is a brand under Tatuaje.
