Meerapfel Cigar has announced it is shipping its inaugural release, the “Richard” Master Blend in the Double Robusto size.

The Master Blend series pays homage to the generations in President Jeremiah Meerapfel’s family’s rich tobacco history. In this case, the Richard pays homage to company President Jeremiah Meerapfel’s father Richard, who established the Meerapfel family as the premier broker of Cameroon tobacco worldwide. At the same time, the brand is intended to reach a new level of ultra-premium luxury cigar that Meerapfel describes as “UberLuxury.”

While luxury cigars are nothing new, it’s evident that Meerapfel is looking to take things to the next level regarding tobaccos and packaging for his product. Production of these cigars are limited through specific allocations to selected retail partners worldwide.

The Double Robusto (5 3/4 x 52) is the first of seven sizes to be released in the Richard line. What is different from the other sizes is the Double Robusto ships in ornamented caskets where the tray can be re-used as an ashtray.

Meerapfel Cigar says the first boxes of the Richard Master Blend Double Robusto were hand-delivered to a retailer in Dubai.
