Warped Cigars has begun informing retailers it is accepting orders for a new small batch line known as Upper Realm.
Upper Realm comes from the Agricola Ganadera Norteña S.A. (formerly known as TABSA). It consists of 100% Nicaraguan tobacco grown on the Aganorsa farms. The blend features a Nicaragua Corojo ’99 wrapper from Jalapa, an Esteli Corojo 2012 binder, and a filler comprised of 50% Esteli Criollo ’98, 40% Jalapa Corojo ’99, and 10% Condega Corojo ’99. The cigar comes in one size – 5 x 48. The cigars are packaged in 200-count cabinet boxes with a total of 250 cabinet boxes made.
“I wanted to blend something different for Warped,” said company founder Kyle Gellis in an email communication to retailers. “Everything about Upper Realm’s creation has been different – from tobacco sourcing and choice to packaging format. During the blending process, I remember thinking to myself, ‘We’re really reaching for a new and higher realm here,’ and the name Upper Realm was born.”
“This is the first time we are using so much Esteli and Criollo material, and it celebrates the essential raw power of Nicaragua and the Esteli region,” added Gellis. “The blend is deliberately transitional, and clearly showcases each individual region. Upper Realm compels insightful exploration of Nicaragua, and the rich complexity of its tobacco growing regions.”
Pricing is set at $12.50 MSRP. Upper Realm is expected to ship on November 1st.
