Fratello Cigars has announced a line extension to its Arlequín in the form of a Corona Gorda. The new vitola will make its debut June 2023.
The Arlequín was first launched in 2019 as part of the Fratello Space Fresh Pack sampler. A year later the line was added to Fratello’s core lineup and was converted to a box-press line. The new Corona Gorda size marks the fourth vitola to be released in the blend.
The Corona Gorda size is a 5 1/2 x 48 box-pressed vitola. Blend-wise, the Fratello Arlequín features a San Andres Mexican wrapper, Ecuadorian Habano binder, and fillers from Peru and Nicaragua. Production is handled out of the Joya de Nicaragua factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.
“Arlequín is hands down one of my favorite blends in our portfolio. Adding a corona gorda format to the line up will allow for an even greater pool of people to see the incredible attributes this cigar has in a smaller ring gage,” commented owner Omar de Frias in a press release.
While the cigar is slated for a June 2023 release, it is expected the Arlequín Corona Gorda will be featured at Total Products Expo (TPE) 2023 later this month and at the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show in July.
