Next month, Altadis U.S.A. will release a limited edition offering under its Romeo y Julieta line known as Book of Love.
The Romeo y Julieta brand pays homage to the characters Romeo and Juliet in the tragedy by William Shakespeare. Keeping to the literary theme of Shakespeare, the cigar Book of Love comes packaged in a ten-count unit resembling a book.
Blend-wise the Book of Love features an Ecuadorian wrapper over Dominican and filler. It’s available in one size – a 52 x 6 Toro. Production comes from the Tabacalera de Garcia factory in the Dominican Republic. Pricing is set at $130.00 per ten-count box.
“The Romeo y Julieta Book of Love is one of the most flavorful blends we’ve ever made for the Romeo y Julieta brand,” says Pedro Ventura, director of operations at Tabacalera de Garcia in a press release. “The most predominant tobacco in the blend is the Dominican Piloto variety from two regions of the Dominican Republic – Navarrete and La Canela – located in the heart of the Cibao Valley. This cigar from Romeo y Julieta, with its great complexity and medium-to-full body, will satisfy even the most educated of palates.”
The Romeo y Julieta Book of Love is expected to ship to retailers beginning June 5th.
