Last year, Forged Cigar Company introduced the La Gloria Cubana Serie S, the first regular production Mexican-wrapped La Gloria Cubana. This year, there will be a maduro counterpart for this line released, the La Gloria Cubana Serie S Maduro.
The La Gloria Cubana Serie S Maduro features what is described as a Mexican San Andres Negro wrapper that undergoes a deep, proprietary fermentation process. The remainder of the blend consists of a Nicaraguan binder and a combination of Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. It’s being released in three sizes that keep to the brand’s reputation for large ring gauge: Robusto Gordo (5 1/2 x 56), Gigante (6 x 60), and Presidente (7 x 56). Each is presented in 24-count cabinet boxes. These are the same size and box counts as the original La Gloria Cubana Serie S. Production comes from the El Credito Cigar Factory, a factory within the General Cigar Dominicana factory located in Santiago, Dominican Republic.
In a press release, Cory Beardsley, assistant brand manager of La Gloria Cubana said, “Serie S Maduro is expertly blended, meticulously crafted and is made in the large-ring sizes that La Gloria is known for. We believe this new Maduro collection will be a well-received complement to Serie S.”
The line is scheduled to ship in July. It is anticipated the La Gloria Cubana Serie S Maduro will be showcased at the 2023 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show slated to open on July 7th, 2023.
