At the 2023 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, RoMa Craft Tobac showcased the Intemperance Volstead VO 1920, a new offering under its Intemperance Brand. This line introduces a Sumatra-wrapped offering into the RoMa Craft Tobac’s Intemperance brand.

Intemperance is RoMa Craft Tobac’s brand themed around the Temperance Movement and Prohibition Era which centered around the prohibition of alcohol. In the case of the Intemperance Volstead VO 1920 it references the Volstead Act of 1920 which put Prohibition into law.

In addition to a hybrid Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, the Intemperance Volstead VO 1920 features a Mexican San Andres binder and a combination of Dominican Corojo and Nicaraguan fillers. The Intemperance Volstead VO 1920 is offered in five regular-production offerings and six limited-production offerings.

The five regular production lines have vitola names associated with people in the 1920s and Prohibition Era.

The Intemperance Volstead VO 1920 had a soft launch earlier this year with a 5 x 50 size. This soft launch was unofficially called a “Pre-release.” However, co-owner Skip Martin made a decision to swap out the wrapper of the pre-release for a different wrapper of the same varietal.

The Intemperance Volstead VO 1920 joins the Intemperance BA, Intemperance EC, and Intemperance Whiskey Rebellion (W) lines.
