West Tampa Tobacco Company has announced that Rami Dakko has been named its Director of North American Sales.

After working in the retail sector, Rami joined General Cigar Company as a Territory Sales Manager. West Tampa Tobacco Company co-founders Rick Rodriguez and Gus Martinez were also General Cigar Company employees at one time.

“To support our explosive growth in the US and around the world we knew we needed to build a team of high energy, passionate people. Rami checks all the boxes we have built West Tampa upon, Trust, Respect and Friendship. Rami has been someone that I have been proud to call a friend as well as someone whom I respect immensely. I have no doubt that Rami will take West Tampa to the next level in the US,” said Rick Rodriguez, co-owner of West Tampa Tobacco Company.

West Tampa Cigar Company says Rami will be based in Philadelphia, PA and will have responsibility for West Tampa’s North American expansion as well as management of several strategic national accounts. In his new role, Rami will report directly to Rick Rodriguez.
