Black Star Line Cigars has announced the release of Jean Baptiste, an exclusive cigar to Binny’s Beverage Depot. Jean Baptiste pays homage to Jean Baptiste Point du Sable, a Haitian man considered to be the founder of Chicago, Illinois. Both Black Star Line Cigars and Binny’s are based in Chicago.

“As a retired Chicago firefighter I love shining light on the history of Chicago. This is a great city and I want people to know more about it,” commented Black Star Line Cigars owner Aric Bey in a press release.

Produced at the Agricola Ganadera Norteña S.A.(Aganorsa factory) in Estelí, Nicaragua, the blend features Aganorsa’s Corojo 2012 wrapper over all Nicaraguan tobaccos. The cigar comes in one size – a 6 x 52 Toro. The initial release is 3,000 cigars (300 bundles). Demand for this cigar will determine if it is a regular production or a limited edition release.

The cigars are expected to arrive at Binny’s warehouse on August 28, 2023.
