Once again at a PCA Trade Show, De Los Reyes Cigars was a part of a booth that also featured four other companies – Debonaire House, Topper Cigars, Casa de Sueño, and Patoro. While many companies with a common distribution arm share a booth, in this case, these four companies all work with the De Los Reyes factory in one form or another. De Los Reyes is known for its agricultural and factory operations, but the company also has its own brands – Saga and Don Julio. And 2023 was a particularly exciting year if you are a fan of the brands of De Los Reyes Cigars. This year the De Los Reyes would introduce two new offerings under the Saga brand- a new limited edition vintage series and a line extension to Saga Solaz.

There is a new limited edition that will be an extension to the Saga Golden Age blend known as Saga Golden Age Yamasá. Like the regular production Sage Golden Age, the Golden Age Yamasa is Dominican puro but is a different blend that is highlighted by a wrapper grown in the Yamasá region of the Dominican Republic by Monika Kelner. Plans for this are to be an annual limited edition vintage series. The Saga Golden Age Yamasá 2023 edition features a Yamasá wrapper that was harvested in 2019. The company says the 2024 edition of Saga Golden Age Yamasá will use a wrapper from a 2020 vintage. Saga Golden Age Yamasá edition comes in one size – a 5 5/8 x 47. The cigars come in ten-count boxes, with a total of 5,000 boxes produced. Pricing is set at $14.00 MSRP per cigar. The cigars are scheduled to ship this summer.

Saga Solaz, the company’s Connecticut Shade offering that was first introduced in 2019, is getting a line extension in the form of a 6 x 44 Corona.  In addition to the Connecticut Shade wrapper, Solaz features a blend of Dominican-grown tobaccos from the Reyes family farms. These tobaccos include Criollo, Olor, and Piloto Cubano varietals. What’s a bit different about the Saga Solaz Corona compared to the other three sizes in the line is that it is packaged in eight-count boxes. As with production for all De Los Reyes Cigars, production is handled at the De Los Reyes S.A. facility in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Pricing is set at $9.00 SRP.

The new releases are expected to start shipping around the time this article is published.
