Last year, Viaje celebrated its 15th anniversary with the release of three different blends. This year, owner Andre Farkas opted to have a second celebration for his 15th anniversary. The company is releasing four cigars as a part of this second celebration.
Like “Part 1” of the Viaje 15th Anniversary series, there is a 15th Anniversary Silver, a 15th Anniversary Gold, and a 15th Anniversary Black release. Last year, the three lines were released in a torpedo format. This year for Viaje 15th Anniversary Part II, they will be in a 6 x 54 Perfecto. Instead of being packaged in boxes, each of these three releases will come in 24-count white-colored jars. The blends are Nicaraguan puros highlighted by a Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper. The cigars are produced at Aganorsa’s Agricola Ganadera Norteña S.A. factory. Once rolled, the cigars were aged for an extra eight months. Pricing is set at $19.99 per cigar, and 315 jars have been produced.
In addition, Viaje has also released a fourth blend for Part II, the Viaje 15th Anniversary Black Limited Edition. This also is a 6 x 54 perfecto that comes in 24-count black-colored jars. Reports from various retailers at indicate pricing at $30.00 and over.
Viaje has been tight-lipped on how all of the blends differ from one another. These cigars have currently made it to retail shelves.
