Daniel Marshall’s eighth annual Kitzbühel Campfire took place last month in Kitzbühel, Austria. The event coincided with the famed Hahnenkamm-Rennen Ski competition. It was hosted at the Daniel Marshall Cigar Lounge located within the luxurious Kitzbühel Country Club.
The Kitzbühel has typically been a signature event for Daniel Marshall. This year’s lineup was no exception. It includes guests of men and women from different walks of life. In attendance this year was Andrej Babiš, former Prime Minister of the Czech Republic and former Governor of California/actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. The event also featured guests ranging from businessmen to doctors and champion skiers.
Marshall noted the mainstream media and photographers are in attendance because the Campfire is a concept that goes beyond smoking cigars. Marshall also pointed out that in each of the last eight years, ORF, one of the largest television channels in Austria, has covered the event. “We do not believe any other cigar event in the world has this kind of broad, popular mainstream Press and TV coverage,” he stated in a press release following the event.
Highlighted at the event were DM Red Label Cigars paired with 12-year-old Dalmore Whiskey. Perhaps what was most interesting was extreme weather conditions didn’t seem to deter the event. The temperature was reported to be -10 C during the event.
