Forged Cigar Company is expanding its Diesel Vintage Series with a new blend known as the Diesel Vintage Series Natural. It is the second offering in the Diesel Vintage Series, joining the original Diesel Vintage Series, a maduro-wrapped line released in 2023. Like the Maduro offering, the Diesel Vintage Series Natural is intended to deliver a premium cigar with aged tobacco at an affordable price.
The Vintage Series Natural is a collaboration between AJ Fernandez and Justin Andrews. The blend features an Ecuadorian wrapper and a Nicaraguan Habano binder from Estelí, Nicaragua. The filler is a “range of Nicaraguan Jalapa tobaccos” aged five to seven years. The cigars come in the same five sizes as the Maduro. These sizes include Pico Gordo, Robusto Gordo, Toro, Double Corona, and Rabito. Each size is presented in a 20-count box, except Rabito, which is presented in ten-count boxes. Pricing ranges from $7.79/cigar to $9.29/cigar, depending on the size.
In a press release, Justin Andrews said, “For Diesel Series Natural, AJ and I took the opportunity to highlight the aged tobacco in the blend. We introduced a natural wrapper to deliver a transformative effect on the blend and make the aging of the filler more pronounced. The result is a cigar that not only delivers the signature, bold experience that Diesel is known for, but also introduces layers of rich and satisfying complexity.”
The Diesel Vintage Series Natural will begin shipping to retailers in March 2024.
