Beginning on March 1, Forged Cigar Company will begin shipping. This is the first limited edition for Los Statos Deluxe since the brand was resurrected in 2022.
Los Statos Deluxe Limited Edition is described as a collaboration created by Matt Booth, Justin Andrews, and William Ventura and will ship to retailers on March 1. The blend features a Mexican San Andres wrapper, Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and fillers consisting of Connecticut Broadleaf, Pennsylvania Broadleaf, and Nicaraguan Corojo. The cigar comes in one size – a 5 1/2 x 50 figurado. A total of 3,000 ten-count boxes have been produced, and the blend will be retired after its release. Production comes from Tabacalera William Ventura in the Dominican Republic.
The box, band, and paper wrap are black and gold in color. This is something we are seeing with several of the Matt Booth projects for Forged’s parent company, Scandinavian Tobacco Group. Recent projects using this packaging design and color scheme include Johnny Tobacconaut and Sancho Panza.
“This blend is sophisticated in nature. It is medium to medium-plus in body, yet full in flavor transition throughout the entire smoke. With so much complexity, there’s only one downside to the cigar and it’s that it literally goes by too fast, leaving you to wish the experience lasted longer,” said Matt Booth in a press release.
