General Cigar has announced it has released a limited edition offering under its Sancho Panza blend. With the new Sancho Panza Limited Edition, General Cigar continues to build on the brand, which had a relaunch in 2022. General Cigar says the cigar is now available.

In a press release, Matt Wilson, brand manager for Sancho Panza, commented, “Following the big news around Sancho Panza last year, we agreed the brand deserved a heightened level of focus this year. So we developed a special blend to continue the dialogue around Sancho. By releasing a limited-edition blend of this caliber, we’re anticipating that Sancho loyalists and newcomers alike will spread the gospel of this great brand, as they expand their humidors with a new smoke to collect and enjoy.”

The Sancho Panza Limited Edition is a project blended by Matt Booth and Justin Andrews in conjunction with the Oliva Cigar factory. It features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua’s Condega, Estelí, and Somoto regions. The cigar comes in one size – a 6 x 52 Toro. It is presented in ten-count boxes. Pricing is set at $12.99.

Matt Booth added, “We have always had both a respect and an adoration for the products that come out of the Oliva facility. And we felt it appropriate to produce with them because their signature direction to cigar composition aligned perfectly with what we were looking to achieve for Sancho Panza. We are also enchanted by Cory Bappert, President Oliva USA and were looking for any and all reason to remain close to him…related to production of course.”
