At the 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, C.L.E. Cigar Company will introduce the Asylum Serenity Now, Insanity Later line of cigars. This is a release that will consist of two different cigar brands.
The Asylum Serenity Now, Insanity Later cigars were blended by company President Christian Eiroa. His inspiration was to create a brand that could first provide a smooth and refined smoking experience (Serentiy Now), followed up with an aggressive, complex, and bold cigar (Insanity Later).
According to C.L.E. Cigar Company, Eiroa created the blends without the knowledge of Asylum Co-Founder Tom Lazuka. Eiroa wanted to create a brand in honor of their longstanding partnership. “Christian and Tom are ying and yang, so the Serenity Now, Insanity Later concept was a perfect representation of their relationship,” the company said in a press release.
Specifics of the blend details have not been disclosed. Serenity Now is highlighted by a Connecticut wrapper over a blend of Honduran and South America tobacco.
Insanity Now uses a Habano wrapper over a proprietary blend for the binder and filler.
Serenity Now, Insanity Later come in two sizes: 50 x 5 (SRP $8.00/cigar) and 54 x 6 ($10.00/cigar). The cigars are housed in a 100-count custom acrylic display split between the two blends. C.L.E. made an investment in new machinery to create these new display cases in-house at the C.L.E. Cigar Company in Danli, Honduras. C.L.E. said this investment was made to better improve quality control and keep up with customer demand.
Tom Lazuka stated: “Originally, I wasn’t happy that Christian created this brand without consulting me, but I quickly came to understand the symbolism behind [the] brand and the blends are fantastic!”
The 2024 PCA Trade show opens March 23 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
