LH Premium Cigars has announced the latest addition to the Nick line, the “Nicolas.” Nicolás is crafted by LH owner and blender Nicholas Syris, but this cigar marks a big change for Syris and LH Cigars. With Nicolás, Syris departs from his use of Ecuadorian wrappers and for the first time incorporates a San Andres Mexican wrapper into a release.
In response to numerous requests by LH retailers and cigar enthusiasts, Syris decided to use the wrapper for a blend. The remainder the blend uses an Ecuadorian wrapper over Brazilian, Nicaraguan, and Dominican tobaccos. Nicolás is offered in two sizes: Toro (54 x 6, $13.00 SRP/cigar) and Robusto (52 x 5, $12.50 SRP/cigar). Both sizes of the Nicolás are presented in 20-count boxes and bundles. The cigar is described as a limited production line. Production for the Nicolás comes from Tabacos de Costa Rica in Puriscal, Costa Rica.
The name Nicolás is Spanish for Nick. Nicolás remains true to the Nick line’s simple packaging using the line’s signature white paper label. LH cigars has states this keeps to the brand’s focus on the cigar itself over traditional banding. Syris commented, “It’s all about the cigar, not the band or packaging. That’s what “Nick” cigars represent!”
The LH Nicolás was officially released on March 1, 2024.
