At the 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, Altadis U.S.A will release the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Doble Diamante. With a suggested retail price of $150.00, this will be the most exclusive Montecristo from Altadis to date.
The Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Doble Diamante is a project done by Rafael Nodal (VP Product Capability, Tabacalera USA) and AJ Fernandez. The Doble Diamante is a Nicaraguan puro made up of rare and aged tobaccos. The tobacco comes from AJ Fernandez’s Finca La Lilia and San Lotano farms. The tobacco has undergone a slow fermentation and long aging process over a ten-year period.
The Doble Diamante will be available in one vitola, a 54 x 6 1/2 Toro. The cigar comes in a 20-count wooden box with a piano finish and metal accents that also serves as a keepsake humidor. There are 250 boxes of the Doble Diamante.
In a press release announcing the Doble Diamante, Rafael Nodal said, “This unique project has been many years in the making. We worked tirelessly to create a work of art that we felt demanded the very best in terms of flavor, aroma and complexity.”
In addition to the humidor and cigars, Altadis U.S.A. has also created a select amount of diamond-shaped decanter sets. The set is available for retailers who purchase the Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Doble Diamante box.
The 2024 PCA Trade Show opens March 23, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
