E.P. Carrillo has announced the second installment of its Essence Series is heading to retailers, the E.P. Carrillo Maduro. The Essence Series is planned to consist of six blends.  Each of the series’ installments will have a different wrapper. The company announced details on E.P. Carrillo Maduro to Cigar Aficionado.

E.P. Carrillo Maduro features a San Andres Mexican wrapper over a Honduran binder and all Nicaraguan fillers. Produced at Casa Carrillo, the cigars come in three sizes: Robusto (5 x 50), Toro (6 x 52), and Gordo (6 x 60). Each of the three sizes come in 24-count boxes. Pricing is set between $9.25 and $10.75 SRP.

The Cigar Aficionado report said the E.P. Carrillo Maduro will release at the same time as the first cigar announced in the Essence Series, the E.P. Carrillo Sumatra. The Essence Series was showcased at PCA 2024. In addition, later this year the Essence Honduras will be released. In the future, there are also Connecticut, Cameroon, and Nicaragua installments of the Essence Series planned.
