The 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show was special for Aric Bey and Black Star Line Cigars. This year, the company is celebrating its five-year anniversary. To mark the occasion, a special five-year anniversary cigar, the Marun, is coming out. In addition, two of the company’s core lines, Lalibela and Dark War Witch, are getting line extensions.

The name Marun means “five” in Yoruba. The Yoruba are an indigenous tribe of Nigeria. The blend consists of an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers. The cigar will be nationally released in one size, a 6 x 50 vitola. The cigar is limited in production, with only 5,000 cigars produced in the first run. Black Star Line cigars plans for the Marun to ship in June. Pricing is set at $12.99 MSRP per cigar. Black Star Line says a 6 1/2 x 48 box-pressed version of Marun will be released exclusively for Oak Glen Tobacconist in Yucaipa, CA. This cigar will feature a closed foot and have a small run of 1,400 cigars.

Finally, a 4 3/4 x 60 size is coming to the Black Star Line’s Dark War Witch line. Produced at Agricola Ganadera Norteña S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua, the Dark War Witch is an all-Nicaragua puro. A total of 200 ten-count boxes of the Dark War Witch Perfecto were initially produced. The new Perfecto carries a price point of $10.40 MSRP per cigar.
