Drew Estate has announced it is taking its Blackened M81 and S84 lines to the international market. These two lines are collaborations between James Hetfield of Metallica, Rob Dietrich of Sweet Amber Distilling, and Jonathan Drew of Drew Estate. The Blackened M81 and S84 lines will be showcased at InterTabac 2024.

Blackened M81, “Maduro to the Core,” debuted in late 2022 in the U.S. The M81 is an all-maduro cigar. This was followed up in 2024 with Blackened S84 “Shade to Black,” a Connecticut Shade offering. Both lines will be offered in the Corona (5 x 43), Robusto (5 x 50), Toro (6 x 52), and Corona Doble (7 x 50) sizes.

“This was a project purely born from passion,” said Rob Dietrich in a press release. “The M81 is a monster of flavor – dark, bold, and rich, designed for those who appreciate the deeper and darker side of cigars.”

James Hetfield of Metallica said, “These expressions are more than just cigars for us. It is a celebration of passion and a tribute to the craftsman who strives for excellence in their lives.”

Jonathan Drew added, “It’s definitely life-changing to partner with Metallica’s James Hetfield on a passion project. Rob Dietrich has been my homeboy for well over a decade so this is like a dream come true. All three of us feel incredibly excited to bring BLACKENED Cigars to the international audience. We talk about it all the time and it’s finally here in front of us.”

InterTabac 2024 takes place September 19-21 in Dortmund, Germany.
