On the October 23rd edition of its Freestyle Live Program, Drew Estate announced a 6 x 60 Gordo line extension to its Nica Rustica Broadleaf line.
Earlier this year, Drew Estate trimmed the Nica Rustica Broadleaf Belly from its portfolio. The addition of the Gordo brings the total number of vitolas back to three. Nica Rustica Broadleaf features a Connecticut River Valley wrapper and a Mexican San Andres Negro binder. The filler consists of Nicaraguan filler tobaccos from Estelí and Jalapa. Nica Rustica Gordo comes in 25-count boxes. Pricing comes in at $7.95 SRP per cigar or $198.75 per box.
“Considered a straight-forward power puncher, the new Gordo 6×60 is a big cigar with big, fat flavors, it’s just a flavor bomb,” said Jonathan Drew, Founder and President of Drew Estate, in a press release. “The new Gordo size will be available in 25-count boxes, which helps us keep the box costs down per stick. We are a blue-collar company, and we must address the value equation every day. The Nica Rustica front mark is the key to this challenge.”
